Shaun is a Sales Engineer for Paschal Associates, and his territory includes the entire state of Georgia. With almost 20 years of service in the mining industry – 15 of them in production and leadership – Shaun spent college summers working in plant and quarry hourly positions. After college graduation he was hired by an aggregate producer as a management trainee in Maryland and after promoted to quarry management at sites in Canada, Virginia, and Georgia. He then worked for another company managing multiple sites in Georgia.
Fifteen years in production management in a variety of locations and markets is invaluable experience and includes a wide variety of pit and plant procedures, maintenance schedules, budgets, mine planning applications, heavy equipment, and material loadouts via truck, rail, barge and ship. Shawn’s familiarity with day to day operations allows him to genuinely empathize with customers and their need to run their businesses as efficiently as possible.
“I really enjoy reviewing screen efficiency and crusher yields to try and create a more balanced plant. On a daily basis I work with many sites to model the plants with several different software packages to determine where they are and where they would like to be. Based on these goals we work together to come up with solutions to bridge the gap.”
